Ingredients
250g beef fillet
(A):
1 tbsp boiled water
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp nampla (fish sauce)
Dash of sesame oil
Dash of ground black pepper
A pinch of sugar
Assorted vegetables
2 shallots, chopped
1 tbsp chopped fresh red chillies
1 tbsp chopped bird chillies (cilipadi)
1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves
1 cucumber, sliced
1 onion, sliced
Garnishing:
2 to 3 lettuce leaves
1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
Method
Marinate beef with a little meat tenderiser and grill to medium rare. Slice beef into thin slices.Combine ingredients (A) in a mixing bowl. Add beef slices and mix. Toss in assorted vegetables, then remove onto serving plate lined with lettuce leaves. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
